Loft Conversions
How we generally do a Loft Conversion:
- Strip roof first to remove weight
- RSJ put in
- New joists to replace rotten ones
- Gable raised to accommodate dormas
- New dormers constructed
- Refelt & batton
- Re-lay tiles
- Insert new lead valleys linking dormers to roof
- New lead for chimney stack
- New windows fitted
- New guttering fitted
This job took approximately 10 weeks. Weather can adversely affect the time taken as can the size of the tiles used.
